More than 200 high school golfers hit the links on Thurs., May 7, for the annual "unofficial South Jersey championship," with team and individual championships up for grabs at Ron Jaworski's par-72 Blue Heron Pines Golf Club. The 2015 edition of the tournament marked the first time the event was held at the Atlantic County course.
The format of the Carl Arena/Al Rifkin Memorial Tournament is a shotgun start in both a morning flight and an afternoon flight on the first Thursday of May.
In the 2015 edition, there are 52 total teams competing for the "unofficial South Jersey championship," with one other school bringing just one golfer to the event.
For the first time ever, the Arena is being played at Ron Jaworski's Blue Heron Pines Golf Club, the fourth course now in the rotation, joining Valleybrook, RiverWinds and Running Deer.
