      On Sunday, the South Jersey Soccer Associations announced the pairings for the 34th Annual Girls’ Coaches tournament and it came as no surprise that Eastern (15-0) came out as the top seed in the annual event.

     The Vikings have parlayed a perfect season into their sixth straight Olympic Conference American title and will open with a visit from Paul VI, which is currently the top team in the Olympic National Division. All first and second round games will be played at the higher seed with the semifinals being contested at Paul VI on October 25th with the championship game being held at Rowan University on October 28th.

     The opening round will feature several interesting games, including Mainland at Washington Township. The Mustangs have just one loss, an opening day defeat at the hands of Toms River North and went 11 straight games without allowing a goal. The Minutemaids meanwhile had a tough week in which they lost on overtime to Eastern and then tied unranked Cherry Hill West.

     A late surge moved Moorestown up to 11th in the poll and the Quakers will get a chance to play the best team in the Colonial Conference in Haddonfield. Another Burlington County team will have an interesting first round matchup as Rancocas Valley will travel to Delsea in the opening round.

     Meanwhile, old rivals Cherokee and Shawnee will meet for the third time this season as the Chiefs will look to make it two straight against their sister school.
