Field hockey: Top 10

1. Eastern (3-0): Senior midfielder Jessica Maute already has 10 goals for the Vikings, who head to Oak Knoll on Saturday for a battle of top-five teams in the state.

2. Moorestown (2-1): Six different players scored in Tuesday’s 7-0 win over rival Rancocas Valley, helping the Quakers bounce back from a 3-0 loss to state power Rumson-Fair Haven.

3. West Deptford (2-0): The Eagles already have big division wins over Collingswood and Haddon Heights and have a showdown against Haddonfield coming up next week.

4. Haddonfield (4-0): Sophomore forward Bridget McCormick has eight goals for the defending Group 1 state champions.

5. Bishop Eustace (3-0): Despite graduating a stellar senior class from last year’s state title team, the Crusaders have outscored their opponents 16-3 in an impressive start.

6. Mainland (2-0): Paige Care and Gab Santiago scored goals in Monday’s 2-1 upset over Ocean City, the Mustangs’ first win over their rival in almost four years.

7. Delsea (2-0): Junior midfielder Sierra Giuliano has five goals and four assists for the Crusaders, who face an early-season test against Clearview on Friday.

8. Ocean City (1-1): The Red Raiders, who have nine new starters this year, suffered their first loss to a Cape-Atlantic League American Conference team since Sept. 30, 2013.

9. Cherokee (1-2): The Chiefs have started the season with a brutal stretch, beating Shawnee while dropping a 4-3 game to Haddonfield and a 5-0 game to Eastern.

10. Shawnee (2-1): Erica Solomen has scored seven goals in the last two games to help the Renegades get on track following a loss to Cherokee.
