The Rowan University men’s soccer team has entered the national rankings this week, coming in at 17th in the United Soccer Coaches poll and 21st in the D3soccer.com rankings. The Profs have also moved up to third in the South Atlantic Region poll.
Rowan traveled to Chicago this past weekend and tied #7 University of Chicago, 1-1, and defeated #10 North Park University, 3-1.
The Profs (4-1-1) own an unbeaten 2-0-1 record against Top 15 teams this season, which includes a 1-0 win over then-#11 SUNY Cortland.
Rowan returns to action on Wednesday, September 18, when it visits Haverford College for a 4 p.m. game.
Rowan Volleyball Falls to Stockton in NJAC Opener, 3-0
GALLOWAY, NJ - The Rowan University volleyball team suffered a 3-0 loss to Stockton University in the NJAC opener this evening. Stockton (9-2; 1-0) captured the match by scores of 25-16, 25-16 and 25-19.
Rowan (5-4; 0-1) was led by Natalie Ogden with nine kills while Megan Jacobi and Kailey Gallagher had five each. Tori Mock contributed 13 assists.
The Profs had a hitting percentage of just 19.3% in the match, while Stockton converted 39.8 percent of its kill attempts.
Rowan will travel to the Scranton Tri-Match on Saturday and play the conference home opener on Tuesday, September 24 against Ramapo in Esby Gym at 7 p.m
